Very influential in its development. Has more of a thrash metal influence than the first releases by Repulsion, Carcass, Napalm Death, and Agathocles. Not nearly as thrash-influenced as the reunion material, however (and much better-written). Songs like "Dead Shall Rise", "Fear of Napalm" and "Storm of Stress" are among the best on it.5/5.

"World Downfall" is the perfect album for those that are new to, or want to give grindcore a chance as it is definitely the pinnacle of the entire genre and can only be rivaled by Repulsion's masterpiece "Horrified". Standout tracks: Afterworld Obliteration, Fear of Napalm, Corporation Pull-In, Infestation, Dead Shall Rise, World Downfall/5(83).
